Will the event continue if it rains?

Yes!

After last years lessons, the MinuteCub Committee has made arrangements to provide numerous canvas tents and other "sun" shelters. If dangerous weather is evident, the Committee will be review various options. For moderate or light rain the event will continue. As indicated, large tents will be in place for many of the activities. Safety and participant satisfaction is ultimately most important. If the weather is likely to prevent holding a safe event or will keep away a majority of the participants then the organizers might opt to postpone. Keep an eye on e-mail and this web site for up-to-date event information.

Is this event for Cub Scouts Only?

No, it is also a Boy Scout Camporee. We have many events for the individually motivated Scouts. They will be having fun shooting cannons, flying kites and building guard towers. We only ask they they help us run the event with a small donation of their time (two hours).

Yes. Parents and/or Leaders must remain with their groups throughout the weekend to provide appropriate supervision.

When you arrive please proceed to the registration table. Registration will be by group. Each group will be put into a regiment identified by a specific color. Scouts should check in at the registration when they arrive where they will be redirected to their regiment based on their unit number and there they will receive their materials from the person with the full packet. While registering, the MinuteCubs can customized their tricorn hats with supplies provided.

What should all Scouts bring?

Scouts should bring their Marshmallow Muskets, some sort of bag to carry marshmellows and wear their MinuteCub outfits.

Everyone needs to bring a bag lunch with them. Period food will be available for sampling but it will not be a suitable mid-day meal. Bring drinks - water will also be available for purchase.

What about Parking?

There will be plenty of parking at a remote site, with buses to shuttle you to the event.

I did not register ahead of time, can I still participate?

Additional participants (Scout and non-Scouts) can register at the door for $30

Can Siblings participate?
